If you are a Yankees fan, the 2009 season has brought (aside from a new stadium) injuries, controversy, and dramatic victories by the bunch. All in all, the season has been a success, as the Yankees are on top of the American League East and have the best record in baseball.

I want to highlight the great incongruity between the kinds of things athletes are able to get away compared to ordinary people.
