What Did You Do Today?

Hunter's own Tennille Amor founded non-profit EPIC

By Sabrina Fong

"WHAT DID YOU DO TODAY?" asks Tenille Amor in an effort to increase support for her non-profit organization, Everyday People Initiating Change, because, she says, "there is no such thing in anyone's life as an unimportant day!" Indeed, this is the very idea behind EPIC, an organization that drills clean water wells in Tanzania.

Garnering Grants for Research

By James Lee

Every time a Hunter student or faculty wins a grant, the department of Communications takes great pains to showcase their achievements on the front page of the college's website. Many students and visitors have astutely noted that a large number of featured individuals are affiliated with the science departments.

Healthy & Delicious

Chennai Garden

By Carol Braha

It's not the black awning or the ornamental lighting outside 129 East 27th Street that draws you in to Chennai Garden. Rather, it's the tantalizing aroma of Indian crepes and spices and the seemingly never-ending supply of delicious foods. Although the décor at this kosher and vegetarian Indian restaurant is nothing out of the ordinary, the servers at Chennai Garden have a positive attitude that is reflected in the food and in the overall pleasant and relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant.

By Hannah Levine

Myopenbar.com is more of a free-booze bible than a mere website. If you have yet to familiarize yourself with this heavenly resource, it lists everything from Jack Baur Power Hour (a free shot every time he kills someone? Hell yes!) to PBR sponsored film screenings, and will save both your wallet and your nightlife.

Letter to the Editor

By Jerin Alam

Dear Editor, Thank you for publishing the "Glorious Steinem" article. When members of the Hunter Women's Rights Coalition (HWRC) saw the cover article on Gloria, we were thrilled. It is fitting that Hunter, a college started as a woman's college, and with a student body of 72% women, dedicated its cover article and photo to one of the greatest female icons of our time.
