There are three types of people in this world: people who make it happen, people who watch it happen and people who say, "What happened!" At only 36 years old, Roman Abramovich has made it happen. Forbes Magazine lists him as the second-richest man in Russia and the world's 25th wealthiest person, with a fortune of $10.6 billion. His meteoric rise is even more remarkable when his difficult start in life is factored into the equation.

Traveling is an experience everyone should have; it allows us to become familiar with other cultures hands on. As college students, however, most of us can barely afford to pay for our textbooks let alone leisurely trips. Organizations such as EF College Break, Student City and Contiki have created travel deals targeted to students who have always wanted to travel but fell short when it came to expenses.

"A partnership between the university and Connecticut Public Broadcasting has been forced upon WVOF 88.5 and the students involved with it," said Mark Gajda in a scorching letter of complaint to the Connecticut Post (June 24, 2008). Angry Gajda continued his list of grievances with Fairfield University's decision, which will allow WNPR, a radio station in Hartford, CT.

Riding a bike. Driving. Sky
Diving. Kissing. Drinking. Piercing.
Sex.
What do these activities have
in common? Importance of epic
proportions is placed on the First
Time. It's an
importance so
huge, it even
comes with its

The First

for sex is
surely the biggest of them all.

You'll hear it - or at least
think it - a hundred times:
You're at a crossroads in your
life. Childhood has ended;
adulthood is setting in. College
is where you'll find yourself,
where you'll meet the
best friends you'll ever make,
where you'll have the best
time of your life - and then,
when it's over, you'll venture
into "the great abyss.

summer, you'll see construction
everywhere. Dump
trucks and caution tape line
the streets, and along every
fence there's a banner reading
"Building Brown." It's
a process that goes faster
during dog day afternoons,
when the Quad's taken up
mainly by high school students
and the streets are devoid of
Brunonians, but it's one that
continues throughout the year
- not just behind closed-off
streets, but also closed doors.

Northeastern officials have withdrawn four students from a program in New Jersey, following an incident in which two of the students were dressed like members of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) on July 6 by paramedics affiliated with the program.
The students alleged to university officials that they were forced by paramedics from Newark's University Hospital, which is operated by the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), to dress in white sheets to echo the attire worn by KKK members, said Jim Chiavelli, interim director of communications.
